Gurbaksh Chahal, the company's 24-year-old founder, has been in online advertising since he was a teenager. In 1985, his parents received a visa for America through a lottery-based system in India. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 4 with his family and settled in San Jose, California. Gurbaksh is the youngest of four siblings.

He came from an exceedingly strict and disciplined background where education was paramount. Chahal went to public schools all throughout his early life in San Jose, attending high school for two years. While in high school he enrolled in Accel Middle College in order to get his college degree in conjunction with his high school diploma.

Chahal chosse different path, at the age of 16, he dropped out of Accel Middle College to start his venture. Chahal founded ClickAgents, one of the first online ad networks to focus on the needs of performance-based advertisers, rather than brand advertiser. His strategic vision paid off. ValueClick agreed to buy ClickAgents for $40 millions in stock, making him multi-millionaire by the age of 18.

At the age of 21, he went on to found his second company BlueLithium. BlueLithium was an ad network focused on data, optimization, analytics and a pioneer of behavioral targeting. Under his leadership, BlueLithium was named one of the top 100 private companies in America three years in a row by AlwaysOn. On September 4th 2007, Yahoo! announced that it has agreed to buy BlueLithium for $300 million in cash. He remains CEO of the company through the transition period.

Chahal is not satisfied with stopping there, however. He is currently working on completing his book entitled, appropriately enough; The Dream.?e is also working on developing a reality-TV show that will have the same name as his book. Chahal is a prodigy, a successful entrepreneur, and a writer.
